How to download new apps sony bdp-s3500

There are many of these out there for Sony. I have tested the player with 5 region 2 and 5 region 1 dvds And The conclusion seems to strangely be that the player is half region locked and half not. About half of the region 1 dvds played while the others came up with the wrong region message, the same was true with the region 2. Maybe you are confusing "region" with video format? Anyway, since Sony seems to be so varied I might just switch the Sony model for an LG player, hopefully that can be region free.

I believe it is available in the US but can't find it here. If you can't locate Amazon prime on your device even if you already have gone to all apps or featured apps, then the App is not pre-installed to your DVD player.

You cannot add or remove apps from your DVD player. Amazon was pre-installed on my Blu-Ray player and worked fine for years. It just suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Amazon is in the menu on the home page. It just won't load anymore. Are you getting an error message? Are you able to access the other applications on the unit?
